Colleen McLaughlin worked as a secondary school teacher for 11 years, then moved into consultancy work. She led the School-University Partnership for Educational Research (SUPER), founded in 1998, for over 10 years. Within this network of schools collaborating with the university, action research was used. She was also the head of the education department at the University of Sussex. She has been working with AEO NIS for over 10 years, leading a partnership with the University of Cambridge to transform the education system.
