Raquel Scarpa-Gebara  

Raquel Scarpa-Gebara is a PhD researcher at the Education Reform and Innovation research group in the Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge, UK. She has a MPhil degree in Educational Leadership and School Improvement from the University of Cambridge, and a MA degree in Neuroscience and Behaviour from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.  

Raquel’s area of research relates to teacher professional learning, educational leadership and school improvement, specifically looking into lesson study, self-evaluation formats of school improvement, and evaluation models for education. 

Raquel has worked as Curriculum Coordinator, International Baccalaureate Coordinator, Approaches to Teaching and Learning workshop leader, Head of Science, and Biology teacher. Raquel chairs school evaluation visits in many countries and contributes as a consultant to leading education organisations.
