IX NIS International Research-to-Practice Conference

Values, Wellbeing and Innovation for the Future of Education

26-27 October 2017

Welcome to the IX NIS International Research-to-Practice Conference! The conference took place on 26-27 October 2017, in Astana, Kazakhstan.

Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools is leading educational change in secondary education in Kazakhstan. Since 2008, we have developed innovative educational programmes, assessment systems, teacher education programmes and educational resources, which are in the process of being disseminated throughout the system of education in Kazakhstan in general.
Our international research-to-practice conference has become a key focus point for educational reformers interested in the future of secondary education in Kazakhstan and through Eurasia. Held annually in October, the Conference brings together a global audience of leaders, thinkers, policymakers and practitioners to discuss policy and practice in secondary education, and plays a crucial role in driving forward educational reform in Kazakhstan.
